Makeup Tip - Apply Concealer

When you are ready to apply your makeup, consider using a concealer. Concealer can help you hide
circles under your eyes, or flaws and blemishes on your skin. This can enhance the
overall look of your face. Look for a concealer that is 1-2 shades lighter than your normal
skin color / tone, especially if you want to hide dark circles underneath your eyes. Since
the under eye- area is already dark, you want to tone it down so that it is more or less the
same color as your skin tone. If you use a color similar to your skin tone, it will make the
area darker and will appear funny after your foundation is applied. When you apply the
concealer, do not stretch the skin. Use a small brush or cotton bud to apply concealer
underneath the eye area as this will prevent the skin from stretching. Concealer comes in
various forms such as in a stick, creams, bottles and powders.

More New Products

We are really excited about our next new release of products.  We have added more great products we think you will love as well.  Lets start by talking about some of the new foundations.

First is our Oil-free liquid foundation is lightweight and gentle on sensitive skin.  It is a great choice for those who have problems with acne.

Flawless Finish - This oil absorbing formula uses Nylon-12 to help even skin tone to leave a flawless finish.

Liquid Mineral Foundation - Medium to full coverage formula is good for all skin tones.  Paraben Free Formula.

Pro-Finish Powder Foundation - This exclusive oil-free and fragrance free formula is infused with anti-oxidants E&C to inhibit premature aging of the skin caused by exposure to free radicals.  Use it wet for a sheer natural look, or dry for fuller coverage.

Next we move onto concealer.  We have two new products in this category.  We will start with our Mineral Concealer - It is very lightweight but provides excellent coverage.

Our color corrector quads are optimized for customization.  This quad was carefully created by professional makeup artists.  Amber adds tones and combats undereye circles, Mint neutralizes redness, and ruddiness.  Mauve adds pink tones and neutralizes uneven tones.  Lavender reduces shallowness.

Next we move to the Lips - We have added several new lip products.


Lip treats lip stick - These Lip Treats are created using a soft, creamy, easy-glide formula.
With more active moisturizing ingredients than other lipsticks, our Lip Treats feature a creamy texture to smooth and "treat" your lips. It works on the lips' skin to repair, hydrate, and smooth.

Designed to enhance the natural shape of the lip, our lip pencils are perfect for defining lips with precision and also great for blending in color.  New colors coming soon.

Our Lip stains our probably the most requested new item.  Nourish and protect your lips with our lip stains that contain an amazing blend of vitamin E, soothing moisturizers, plant extracts and antioxidants. Next lets talk eye shadow.  We created a great palette of eight coordinated colors.   Made with natural plant-derived antioxidants and soothing botanicals, our mini eyeshadow palette includes eight complementary shades, a sponge applicator and mirror so you can creatively customize any eye-popping look on-the-go. What's the Difference in all the Acne products on the Market Today?

There are basically 3 different categories of acne products.  We will talk today about these categories.

The first category is preventative or general care products.  These products are what most people start with and usually do a good job in prevention and/or clearing acne.

The general acne skin care products are the ones that are used as acne-prevention measure. These include cleansers, make-up removers and similar products that help prevent acne. In the real sense, these acne skin care products are just those that should anyway be part of your daily routine. However, some of these are more oriented to act like an acne skin care product. These acne skin care products act against the causes of acne by limiting the production of sebum/oil and preventing clogging of skin pores. They do this by preventing the oil from getting trapped in pores and then hamper the growth of bacteria that lead to acne. The general acne skin care products also include exfoliation products like skin peels. These work towards removing dead skin cells, hence reducing the possibility of pore-clogging and bacteria development.

The second category are specialized acne care products.  These products are also over the counter but are more specialized to the task of clearing acne from the skin. These include products like vanishing creams which extract the extra oil from the skin. Most of these acne skin care products are based on benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, both of which are the enemies of bacteria (and hence acne). You should start with a product that has lower concentration of benzoyl peroxide (e.g. 5%) and see how your skin responds to it. Alpha-hydroxy-acid based moisturizers are also popular as acne skin care products. You might have to try a few, before you zero-in on the acne skin care product that is effective for you. If nothing seems to work, you should contact a dermatologist. 

This leads us to the last category of products: Prescription acne products.  These products require a prescription form a physician or dermatologist.  This can include ointments that can be applied on the affected area or oral antibiotics. Dermatologist could also perform a minor surgical procedure to remove the contents of pustules(enlarged/inflamed zit). However, never try to squeeze or do this by yourself, it can lead to permanent damage of your skin. Your doctor could also prescribe a hormone-based treatment (since hormonal changes are also known to cause acne). Such acne skin care products are known to be very effective in some cases. 

As you can see there are many products on the market today. I suggest you start with the first category of products and move up the line as needed.  Always consult a physician if you think your acne is worse than a mild case.
